Brightside Dental

Have always received 5 star treatment at Brightside Dental. My most recent visit was a hygienist appointment with Negar and her assistant Lilyma. Both ladies were very gentle and efficient.

I visited the hygienist this morning. She is always friendly and helpful. Everything went very smoothly and I would highly recommend everyone to have at least one check up a year. My current plan at Brightside allows me 2 visits a year which has been a real bonus for me.

I am a very nervous dental visitor and have to force myself to turn up. Usually go away feeler calmer and reassured.

I had a crown replaced. The dentist explained every step clearly. The process was carried out quickly and I didn't experience any discomfort.

As always, my visits to Brightside Dental are a positive experience. The staff are kind, professional, informative, reassuring, have patience and time to listen. I don't feel the fear I used to feel in the past, before I found this dental clinic. My fear has greatly reduced. Highly recommend it to anyone who is afraid of going to the dentist. Thank you all. Really professional and caring. All of the staff from reception to dentist are friendly. The environment is clean and even has a charging station in the waiting area. The dental room is calming and when doing anaesthetic a countdown is done before and during to help ease anxiety. Details are checked more than once and I was asked if I wanted the procedure even though I was referred my opinion was taken into consideration. I will definitely use this clinic in future.

I have been attending Brightside Dental practice in Bounds Green for many years, and would like to share my amazing experience with the hygienist Mihaela and her assistant Lilyma who both did an excellent job today. Whole process was seamless and excellent. I totally recommend this dental practice.

Had the filling for which I paid £195.
Exactly 8hrs later while I was eating rice the filling dropped out. Very disappointing.

I will write a detailed review which might perhaps help someone in the same position as I was when I nervously approached this practice. My old dentist was retiring and I needed to find a new one I could trust and who would listen and be sensitive to nervous patients. I chose this dentist because of their excellent reviews. Dr Ketan Shah did a thorough exam, using 3D technology which meant there wasn't too much poking about, to my relief. He offered a lot of cosmetic treatment which I refused, as I only want to be able to eat and speak comfortably, not lose too many teeth, and not be in pain. There was no hard sell. But... I had a lot of work to be done. I opted for sedation for the first treatment, which involved a complex extraction, several fillings and preparation for 2 caps. I was out for 2 hours and can honestly say (to any nervous reader) that I felt NO PAIN during the procedure. As I began to wake up I felt a strong ache in my jaw, as I had held my mouth open for so long. But that was just annoying rather than anxiety-inducing. It is such a relief to know that sedation is available and there are dentists at this surgery who are trained to administer it rather than having to call someone in. Dr Minal Shah managed to do all the fillings and cap prep in one sitting, so it was worth the aching jaw. At home a temporary cover came off as my escort forgot to tell me not to floss. I suggest written instructions for caps/crowns would be helpful for sedated patients. They were immediately able to replace the cover.
There is a happy, positive vibe to the whole surgery, from receptionists and nurses to the dentists, which is calming and encouraging (no one wants a stressed dentist). I have to go back for hygiene treament so hope to review that when the time comes.
