Beautiful teeth
Martina is always friendly and communicative. The practice is professional and thorough. I have very sensitive teeth and Martina accommodates that in her work by taking breaks and giving advice about how to address/prevent this. My teeth looked wonderful when I left her!

Nagging.
My mother is 82 and has dementia. The hygienist spent the first 25 mins of the consultation upbraiding us about not brushing her teeth correctly, often enough, insufficient use of tepe sticks and possible use of wrong mouth wash. My mother still has some pride, and doesn’t want to be followed into the bathroom every time she goes in. Life is about balancing needs, and I don’t think this hygienist realises that old (and demented) people have different priorities. At £170 per hour, I would appreciate more cleaning, and less lecturing.

As you mentioned you would like to maintain your mother's dignity especially as she has dementia. We could maybe work out a program together to protect her dignity but also maintain high oral hygiene standards. What we would prefer to avoid is for her to develop dental issues like decay and gum disease at this stage. Please call us and our team will be happy to speak to you.
