I have very sensitive gums and was recommended to try guided biofilm therapy with the hygienist Zishaan. This is powerful hygiene cleaning using jets which reach deep under the gums to remove harmful bacteria. I have sensitive gums but the treatment was very comfortable and I was made to feel at ease by Zishaan’s caring manner. I am so glad to have had the guided biofilm therapy and I am looking forward to maintaining the lovely clean teeth and gums at home with all the useful advice from the lovely Zishaan. After the hygiene session, I wore my whitening tray for added dazzle factor.

Late last year I visited Dr Raza for my annual check-up and explained my symptoms of jaw pain, inflamed gums, occasional headaches in the morning, and an unexplained cracked molar. Dr Raza suggested I could be grinding my teeth at night (bruxism). To help manage and alleviate this he fitted a tanner appliance, sometimes referred to as an occlusal splint. A few months on, I can say that the appliance has helped. I no longer wake up with such an aching jaw and headache.
The tanner appliance itself looks like a gumshield for the lower teeth however, the biting surface is shaped to improve jaw balance and reduce movement at night.
Of course, I should also mention reception is always very welcoming and professional when coordinating appointments and treatments. The dental hygienist, Mr Shafi, has also been very helpful explaining proper flossing routine.

Dr Raza has a very polite manner and takes his time to listen to your concerns and explain the treatment. He is knowledgeable and has often given me advice about routine oral care that I have found very practical and useful. What I love about this place is that they don’t try to sell you unnecessary treatment - Dr Raza always tries to be practical in his approach to find the best options for me. The surgery is always welcoming and they (usually) run pretty much on time which is great as I’m always running around, juggling my work commitments around the kids!
