Had my 6 monthly hygienists appointment yesterday. Very pleased with the service. Running almost to time and the hygienist (Gemma) was friendly, efficient and considerate. Have been using the practice for over 65 years and have always had good service. My only grumble is that prices seem to have risen enormously since they were taken over but I suppose that is tgd way of the world at had moment.

Temporary filling
Attended emergency appointment for a broken, previously filled tooth. The dentist applied a temporary filling without informing me or discussing options. She then told me I could not bite on that side as long as I had the temporary filling, and suggested a review at my next check up in 4 months time. I asked to have the treatment completed sooner, and now have an appointment in 7 weeks’ time. I am very unhappy at having a temporary filling meaning I can’t use one half of my mouth for this long, and at the expectation from the dentist that this would be fine. The receptionist was helpful in getting an appointment sooner, but I still think a wait of 7 weeks to complete this treatment is unacceptable, and not what I have been used to at Victoria House.
