Reception staff very helpful, friendly and polite as always. It was the first time I had seen Samantha the hygienist and I was very impressed. Very friendly and thorough and I really felt confident she will help me with my gum problems.

Glen Maye has always been a 5 star practice for me. Putting a 4 today as service clearly impacted by the pandemic- surgery phone still on answerphone when I called a couple of times Mon soon after 8am with my request for emergency treatment, causing some anxiety. However professional receptionist did phone back within half hour and booked me in. Staff are open and honest - for the first time in the 30 years of being a patient here- some look a bit fed up with pandemic impacts on their service. They have lost several hygienists and presumably have had disruptions to other staff which again will take time to recruit/recover. My encouragement to the practice is to keep on top of communication updates to us patients, so we know it is ok and desirable that we book our children in for check ups for example- this is clear to the staff but take it the public are less aware of current dental professional guidance. We need reminding and updating- so a nice electronic update eg Autumn, Christmas and spring text message or email newsletter will sustain us all in this phase. The newsletter should have happy news about the staff, who has moved on and who is new, research news, prompts about good dental self care and then be clear recurrent services available. Keep going Glen Maye; you are all appreciated.

The past 18 months of the Covid pandemic has changed the lives of many people including the ways businesses operate be that in the hospitality sector, healthcare or otherwise. It is perfectly clear and understandable that the staff of Glen Maye Dental Practice are obviously following the operational guide lines. However, despite the 'new' method of working, it appears to be doom and gloom once one enters the surgery via the front door! Perhaps, some atmosphere could be brought back into the surgery?
