Receptionist was welcoming and kind.
My dentist and dental assistant were so caring, supportive and brilliant. I was very nervous about my treatment, but the team were brilliant in keeping me calm and looking after me. They were great.

I've just had a root canal this morning at HOLT HOUSE DENTAL PRACTICE (something several dentist at the belper practice said wouldn't be possible!! Apart from a dentist who was there temporarily call Deborah Martin!!) All I can say is What an absolute wonderful person she is!! And a great dentist!! I'd highly recommend that anyone having to visit the dentist, ask to see this lady because she EXCELLENT!! I've still got more treatment to have and Deborah will definitely be doing it!!

They have NOW CANCELLED my appointment, because it has had to be changed a few times, which couldn’t be helped & I have paid to have my treatment done so not impressed at all ?

The only issue is having to knock on the door once or twice and then waiting for quite a while, not sure if anyone has heard you knock. Otherwise everything else is brilliant.

Historically, I have had some very bad experiences with regards dental issues.....I have had a couple at Holt House...(but mainly admin problems and with one dentist)...I came to the practice last Monday and could not fault the Dentist (Elizabeth) and her assistant (Unfortunately I don't know her name)....They were both extremely professional and as a nervous patient ....made me feel very relaxed...I hope they will both stay with Holt House. Thank you David

Superb treatment during the Covid-19 lockdown

I needed to have a tooth extracted that had been incredibly painful for months. My appointment with my original dentist for 17th March was cancelled due to the imminence of the Covid-19 lockdown and I'd been told just to hang on as long as possible till the lockdown was lifted.
Finally, having had several flare ups over the ensuing 11 weeks and a lot of pain, it was impossible for me to continue so I asked for an emergency referral through the NHS.
They placed me with the Holt House Dental Practice in Matlock, Derbyshire, and the treatment was carried out within a few days. The dentist was friendly and efficient and quickly carried out a procedure my own dentist had told me would be highly complex and difficult with a minimum of fuss.
The whole experience was one of the best I've ever had at a dentist's, and the best thing is that I no longer have this awful tooth! Thank you so much!

I was re contacted later and an infected tooth diagnosed over the telephone by a lovely lady dentist called Elizabeth this afternoon, in this awful pandemic. My doctor Nieves Rod was very kind, as sometimes I'm scared of dentists, she didn't make me hurt my tooth, and she speaks my native language! So I was very relaxed at my appointment, and of course I had booked another appointment in advance with this dental practice.
