When you come for an assessment at Teethinline, if you qualify for NHS funded treatment we will advise you of this at the appointment and offer you a place on our NHS treatment waiting list which is approximately 24 months long.
We will write to your General Dentist and also write to you confirming this and setting out other options included self-funded treatment.
At your initial assessment, if we identify a dental concern that we feel we need to monitor, we will also keep you under observation with an Orthodontic Specialist whilst you are on our NHS treatment waiting list - This maybe why you have attended other appointments with different clinicians.
Once you reach the top of our NHS treatment waiting list, you will see the same Specialist Orthodontist throughout your treatment planning and treatment delivery stages to ensure consistency and monitor your progress/outcomes.
We are really sorry If you feel unclear about what is happening or has happened. We do try to communicate clearly at appointments and provide lots of leaflets and information at assessment stage to help explain things.
