We are sorry to hear you have had a problem getting through to us. Our telephones are extremely busy as we know from our statistics which show our busiest call times are between 8:30 -9:30am, 2pm and then 3:30pm-4;30pm and the busiest day to call us is Monday. If our telephones go straight to message it is because we are all busy dealing with other patients both face to face and on the telephone. We previously had feedback informing us patients did not like to hang on for ages, preferring to leave us a message rather than wait for what felt like forever for someone to answer the phone. Based on this we set our telephones to ring 5 times before going to our message facility. We do respond to messages as soon as we can throughout the day and usually within 15 minutes of your message being left, so it's disappointing to hear you didn't get a call back from us. We are normally quite speedy with this as we appreciate you made the call at a time that was convenient to you and when you are most likely to be able to deal with a call back from us. I will of course pass on your feedback to our reception team to reiterate the importance of returning messages asap.
We do close for lunch between 1pm and 2pm daily and or telephones are on message during this time. We thinks its important to protect this time for the whole practice team who work a long and very demanding day around this and need time to catch up and also prepare for the next session. However we would reassure you that as soon as we open at 2pm messages are responded as a first task of the afternoon.
We do offer a variety of other contact methods including email and facebook private message - again we respond to these messages throughout the day to ensure no-one is kept waiting too long for a response.
