Thank you for reviewing your recent experience. We are disappointed to hear that you feel that we want to delay your orthodontic treatment. We would like to to clarify the process for you if we may -
We assess every patient as soon as we receive a referral from your dentist and from this initial assessment we can determine your eligibility for NHS funding and the urgency of your orthodontic treatment needs.
We would really like to treat every NHS eligible patient as soon as possible, however our NHS funding is limited which is why we have a waiting list for patients who are ready to start orthodontic treatment.
Where there is an urgent medical reason for NHS orthodontic treatment, we will ask NHS England for permission to prioritise a case so if you feel you fit into this category then please do get back in touch.
If your need is not urgent then our estimated waiting time to start NHS funded orthodontic treatment is 9-12months.
We would reassure we do all we can to get treatment started as soon as possible and we will get back in touch as soon as you reach the top of our NHS treatment waiting list.
