Thank you for your feedback. Your comments are all very important to us and it is so very disappointing to hear of the experience you and your husband have had.
Whilst we intend to fully investigate and discuss with our team the matters you have highlighted in your feedback I would like to clarify a few points ahead of this:
We do have emergency slots available every day we are open with each of our 3 General Dentists at the practice. These appointments are offered to both patients who regularly see us and also someone who is not a patient with us if we have availability on that day or within 24 hours of them getting in touch.
If someone was not a patient with us our aim would be to get them out of pain and plan follow up appointments under our Dental Care Plan.
If after attending an emergency appointment the person chooses not to join our Dental Care Plan, unfortunately we would not be able to see them again at the practice as we are now only accepting New Private Patients under our Dental Care Plan Membership..
The only rationale for not offering an appointment is if we did not have anything that that suited individual needs on that day or within 24 hours of the request.
We will always go out of our way for toothache or emergency pain - we know its a miserable and uncomfortable situation for anyone to be in but without knowing further information it is hard for us to establish why an appointment was not offered to your husband.
In terms of the Facial Aesthetic treatments we offer - this is a service advertised at Newport Pagnell Dental Clinic but treatments are offered at our sister practice in Oldbrook, Milton Keynes by our Principal Dentist there. This ensure it does not in anyway interfere or compromise Dental Appointments at Newport Pagnell Dental Clinic where we regularly have 3 General Dentists Monday to Friday.
We are currently open Monday to Friday. We appreciate that this is not always convenient for our patients so we are considering extending our opening hours to include Saturdays.. This is under discussion at present and something we hope to achieve in 2017.
Whilst we will be discussing this feedback with our team and trying to see what went wrong in view of what I've said above, we would honestly value the opportunity to investigate your personal experience in more detail so please do get in touch.
