Whilst we appreciate that you may have found our entry process over-cautious, we are still required to adhere to NHS England and Government Regulations for healthcare environments in respect of COVID19. This means that just like hospitals and GP surgeries, we are still required to monitor COVID symptoms and do our best to ensure a safe and COVID free environment for our patients and our team. We do hope that we may be able to return to pre-pandemic processes in due course but in the interim, we thank you for your patients and hope that you understand and appreciate that we must adhere to current guidelines.

We are really sorry to hear that you have been kept waiting in excess of 30 minutes on both your recent visits and we appreciate that this is not an acceptable standard.
We would like to reassure you that we do try very hard to keep appointments on schedule but sometimes we have a problem or an un-planned emergency we have to deal with which is beyond our control and can affect patient wait times. However we do appreciate the impact this can have on your day.
Whilst we don't have the resources to be able to send urgent text messages about delays, we have reminded our reception team to tell patients if their dentist is running late when they check-in so you can decide whether to wait or re-schedule your visit. We have also spoken with your Dentist to remind him of the importance of keeping to time and keeping waiting patients informed if he is running late for any reason.
We do hope this goes someway to show you that we value and appreciate your feedback and that we will act on what you tell us in an effort to improve the service for you and other patients.

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our COVID19 procedures and protocols we have in the practice which are aimed at protecting our patients and our team. We do feel that it is very important to stress that whilst we really do hope we can return to our pre COVID19 procedures as soon as reasonably possible, unfortunately at this moment in time we must still apply and adhere to instructions from NHS England and the Department of Health who have told us that we have to continue with the revised standard operating procedures until further notice. This relates to all medical and dental settings in the UK so you will notice this in other healthcare environments and hospitals too.
We do hope you understand that we must remain vigilant and keep our safe operating procedures in place for the time being and until we are instructed otherwise by NHS England and the Department for Health.
