Thank you for your feedback - we are sorry to hear you are unhappy with our service. We run an appointment system at both our practices for both routine and emergency treatment. We are sure you can appreciate that if every patient popped in for an emergency/problem, we would always run late on planned appointments which would unacceptable for patients who did have an appointment booked. The appointment system enables us to run clinics is a timely and fair manner.
We do have emergency appointments available every day both mornings and afternoons and always offer the next available emergency when someone contacts us with pain or discomfort or a brace breakage so we can help as soon as possible. I can see you were offered an appointment on the day you called which you declined because it was during school hours. Our Reception team do try very hard to meet individual requests where possible but given that majority of our patients are school age, it would be impossible to accommodate every patients wish for after school appointments so these are booked on a first come, first served basis. We do communicate our appointment system when patients start treatment, particularly that appointments are generally between 9am - 3:30pm. This is contained in the contract you agree with us, a copy of which can be provided to you if you get back in touch. We would stress that you will need to contact us rather than just turn up at the practices as we may not be able to see you which would be very frustrating for you.
We apologise if you felt things were mis-communicated to you but hope that you understand why we operate an appointment system. We trust that everything is now good with your son's brace but do get back in touch if we can assist further.
