Gentle and patient with my son

Great visit with my son for his checkup. We were taken in bang on time. The dentist was very gentle and patient with my son and gave great advice around brushing and possible future dental work.

Appointment

Every time I go to the dentist I always find it far more hassle than it needs to be. Multiple appointments cancelled and I get asked to fill in the same forms over and over again (pre appointment then at reception then again asked the exact same questions by dentist). This time I was told I needed a hygienist appointment which is what I was booked in for but the appointment was changed to a check up which I didn’t need but was still charged for ???

Appointment

The dentist and dental therapy nurses are all really lovely and helpful.
The telephone system is rubbish. You have to talk to an AI bot and it will unlikely let you speak to the one receptionist. If you get through the AI phone system then you have to wait AGES on hold. I was on hold one time for an hour. Appalling especially when I am trying to get an emergency appointment.
The online booking only works if the system has your correct details and they often do not. I tried changing my phone number to my new current one and for some reason it decided that the main point of contact would be my home telephone number and thus I could not access the online booking portal. This only added to the frustration.
When you arrive for your appointment, don’t even try and get there early because they will move your appointment back by twenty mins without even telling you.
They need to update and improve their systems.
However, if you can get an appointment, you will be well looked after by the healthcare professionals.
