Very friendly dentist and nurse, always gives advice about my teeth, makes me feel safe and relaxed whatever treatment.

The reception staff were friendly and polite.

Suggestion: change your booking times. The first appointment of the day is currently 8:30, but your staff do not start until that time, so patients are not let into the building until 8:30.
I generally book the earliest slot, and have always been seen much later (the dentist is usually late too...).

I visited the dentist several months ago with tooth pain. After X-rays showed a I had an infection down to the root in one of my back teeth I was given the choice of an extraction (c£100) or root canal treatment (c£700). As I am in receipt of a low wage (NHS pay) I opted for the extraction.

I attended the dentist yesterday for a half an hour appointment but ended up being there for an hour and a quarter while the dentist attempted to remove my tooth. In the end the tooth has to be taken out in pieces and sadly the root is still in my gum. Although I don’t blame the dentist for this I am most upset that after numbing my mouth the dentist then offered to refer me for root canal treatment on the NHS (c£100) as an alternative. I explained that I had psyched myself up for today and now that I’d been numbed I felt like extraction was the way forward. The tooth was also causing me a great deal of discomfort due to the infection.

I am most unhappy that this choice of root canal treatment on the NHS wasn’t discussed in other me before because it would certainly have been the option I chose. At the moment I am in absolute agony and half of the tooth is still in my gum meaning that I’ll have to have surgery to remove the root at some point in the future!

The dental nurse was very friendly and chatty making me feel very welcome, my dentist however made me feel like an inconvenience to her working day.
