Understanding of my fear
Extremely nervous of dentists. I have major gum disease, with wobbly teeth which will eventually need to come out. Today was a deep clean, and although extremely nervous, it went very well. Dentist injected gums, so I wouldn't feel anything. Thoroughly recommend the dentist, he was very understanding of my fear and very gentle.

Friendly, gentle and clear
I checked in using the tablets, a bit long but think that’s because it’s a new system and it’ll be quicker next time! The waiting room is quiet, calm and bright, the fresh flowers are a lovely touch. The dentist was friendly, gentle and clear. Payment and booking my next appointment was smooth.

My dentist took time to explain
Lots of advice given on treatment possibilities. My dentist took time to explain pros and cons and I was not rushed during my deliberations over which choice to make. Procedure was explained. What would happen during each of the appointments was explained thoroughly at the beginning. I never felt rushed and I am very satisfied with the outcome.

Appointment
My dentist and the dental nurse were amazing, as always, and were fantastic with my 3-year-old son.
However, I was very disappointed with how my children were treated at the reception desk. While a receptionist was helping me arrange my next appointment, her colleague, who was on the phone, appeared to be distracted by my children. My 3-year-old and 18-month-old son were simply chatting between themselves and were not being excessively loud or disruptive.
To my surprise, the receptionist on the phone stood up, leaned over, and told my children to “shush.” At the time, I was so shocked that I didn’t respond, but having reflected on the situation, I feel extremely upset by the way my children were spoken to.
I found the interaction unnecessary and inappropriate, especially considering their ages. The care we receive from the dental team is always excellent, which makes this experience even more disappointing.
I will be contacting the practice to make a formal complaint, as I feel this matter should be addressed.
