The experience this time around was not as good as normal. The new hygienist made me feel stupid after asking numerous times to be able to spit out my own salvia rather than have it at the back of my throat. In the end, I had to spit it into a small tissue and it went all over me which was humiliating.

This was my daughters first dental visit to her living memory (covid etc…) - I really appreciated Vanessa taking the time to make it as “unscary” and fun as possible. Her calm nature and gentle tone really helped. Thank you.

Pleasantly surprised

Had to go in for an extraction. Got an appointment within 3 days. I am a very nervous patient but Vanessa was brilliant. Explaining that it would take longer than normal as the tooth would crumble. I would definitely recommend Chilwell DP for all your dental needs and particularly Vanessa if you are nervous. Thank you Vanessa, see you in January for my check up.

Felt much better than I did when I last attended, last time I felt very faint as I was tipped back so far on the chair (this was a couple of years ago) but this time I was asked if I was ok so immediately felt at ease and less nervous.

By far the best
This dentist practice is by far the best I've encountered. This is because it is staffed and run by people who are unconcerned about ego and only concerned about patient comfort. What a difference this makes. From stepping into the practice, to leaving, I felt that my being there mattered and that they were all interested in making my experience a positive one, quite different to that encountered in other practices. Mrs Caldeira's manner (and that of her assistant), in my most recent visit, was one of utmost professional concern and communication of what my procedure would entail, what discomfort I should expect and what outcome she hoped for. In actual fact, there was zero discomfort and all done in 20 minutes. I wouldn't say I look forward to a trip to the dentist, but this dentist has removed all anxiety for next time! Thank you to everyone.
