The dentist. I’ve had her twice now and she’s one of the best I’ve had. Professional, reassuring, clear and honest. The Covid safety setup was well done.

Very good hygiene and PPE usage. Staff always professional and friendly. Been visiting the practice for many years and all the dentists have made it a painless experience.

I thought the hygienist was a little rough. Why are there wooden seats in the waiting area? Very uncomfortable.

I have recently needed to see my dentist on three occasions for sudden unexpected problems. They have been marvellous in fitting me in and, as always, providing excellent treatment. I am now fine and not expecting anymore dental issues until my check up in September. Thank you. I have now just had my September check-up all went well with excellent service. I have just had my March check up, it went well, no work needed. Once again I was met by pleasant receptionist and then escorted to my dentist. Thank you.

I have always been very apprehensive about going to a Dentist, Not having been for over 30 years i thought it was time i confronted my fear and go, and see somebody. I need not have worried !, from the start to the end of my treatment I was put at ease and treated with respect and kindness by all the staff. I had painless treatments performed by Eamonn, and superb attention to detail regarding everything that was done. All the receptionists and assistants were very friendly and made you feel welcome. I have recently started a course of treatment at Chilwell Dp with Eamon McDaid principal dentist. I cannot praise him and his team highly enough and Izzy dental nurse. I have a long standing phobia of dentists and dentistry going back to a specific visit in my child hood. However a friend of the family recommended I try Chilwell dp and from the very first hesitant phone call I have been treated with respect understanding and kindness. I am now part way through a significant (especially for me) treatment programme and it’s testament to Eamon's patience that I am able to stay in the dentist chair for more than 15 mins! I would recommend Eamon and his team to everyone.

Eamonn is one of the good people: warm,friendly,totally professional,highly skilled, dedicated and meticulous. This sounds like a big role to maintain but Eamonn really is like that. My dental problems were copious when I arrived but my personal plan is progressing steadily. I have just had my front 4 unit bridge fitted and am delighted. Nothing was too much trouble to ensure that it was right for me. The whole team is a delight with a very caring, positive and supportive attitude. This applies to both clinical and administrative staff. Again, I believe this ethos is down to the dentist. Eamonn is quite clearly and noticeably giving his staff continuously ongoing workplace training, albeit subtly and seamlessly. I would not hesitate to recommend McDaid Dental Care if you really want someone to whom you can reassuredly entrust your oral welfare.

I've seen many Dentists & Hygienists over the years for various work & regular check ups, and Chilwell DP is the best I've ever been to. From the moment you walk in the door, you're in a nice friendly environment with staff who understand that not everyone loves going to the Dentist and are there to talk to if need be. I have Mr McDaid but I've seen the other Dentist's when he's not been available and they all work to the same high standards. I'm a nervous patient and they are fully aware of that and take that into account for me - always explaining what they are going to do and making me feel comfortable. Unlike a lot of other dentists out there, they're very approachable and friendly which in turn makes you feel more at ease. The Hygienist is also first class. I hate having my teeth scaled and often jump to the ceiling while having it done, but she takes her time and will stop if it's too painful sometimes - unlike others I've been to where they insist you sit still and let them get on with it! Finding a good Dentist has been great for me because years of bad experience stopped me from going regularly and then I developed problems which I'm now having to rectify. I'm now happy to go regularly and don't dread it any more, all thanks to these guys at Chilwell DP. If you want an excellent Dentist, then look no further.

After many years of inherited phobia of dentist,(remember school dentists after the war.) I made up my mind to search out a good private practice dentist. With much trepidation I walked through the front door of Chilwell dp. Immediately there was a warm welcome from reception, that subsequent visits proved was not a one off. An appointment was made for me to meet the dreaded dentist, that was my first mistake because the dentist was one of the most understanding people it has been my pleasure to meet. We talked about this and that until I started to relax, then introduced their nurse, delightful, before asking if they could have a look. A dental plan was made together and costs agreed. After the first treatment had been completed, I was happy to return several more times for further cosmetic treatment that led to a smiling me a few months later. Wonderful caring staff all led by a skilled dentist, all of them going the extra mile to make the experience as easy as possible, frowns and recriminations are banned in this practice , positivity has replaced that. Don't suffer go and see this dentist and his staff.
