Highly recommended

I am always nervous going to the dentist, even though I have never had a bad experience. Once again I walked away from Chilwell Dental Practice wondering why I get so upset. I can assure you that there's nothing to worry about. Not that will stop me from getting worried again on my next appointment. Highly recommended.

Chilwell Dental Practice

The staff members were polite and friendly and waiting time was kept to a minimum.
Ash explained the positioning of my new denture and was satisfied with it. I was soon back in the reception area where my next appointment was soon arranged by the receptionists.

No Communication

I booked an appt 6 months in advance. Receive confirmation email on the day I made the appt.
They then changed the time of appt to suit them but do not communicate this.
For someone like me, I don’t check emails regularly, or keep up to date with text messages.
I get a text message 1-2 days before with a completely different time to what my appt was booked for with no communication to the change from them themselves at reception.

If they are going to change my time, they should be calling me to tell me and double check it’s ok.

Excellent treatment

I hold private payment so showing me a plan was not relevant. I received the usual friendly and excellent treatment. I actually missed an appointment due to my error recently but this was happily forgotten by the surgery. I have no complaints at all.

Appointment

Slightly concerned, NHS checkup was very superficial. On previous visits with another dentist my neck was checked for any lumps and bumps. Which as we get older is very important as early diagnosis of a problem is important.

First visit after not seeing a dentist since before COVID. Very friendly staff. Explained what I needed and how much it would be. NHS and Private work. Was surprised an hygienist doesn't come under NHS but otherwise happy with visit. Will see how treatment goes next month.
