My experience
I have been a patient at this practice for many years and have always had good service. However, I was disappointed with my visit last month. The reception staff as usual were welcoming, friendly and polite. I duly paid for my visit expecting a thorough inspection.
However, the inspection was very brief and the dentist, although polite, wasn’t what I had experienced in the past. I did have a minor chip off one tooth which was examined and advised that it needed attention. I was quoted £70 or £350 for a full crown.
Rather surprised by this I chose to decline. The usual examination then seemed to be over, to my surprise. No advice on dental care was given and no remedial action taken. At this point I assumed some cleaning would have been undertaken. I had paid the statutory fee. The total length of time in the surgery was approximately 6 minutes.
When checking later what the fee covers and time expected I felt I had poor treatment
