I booked in to have a filling today. I was checked in by the friendly receptionist on arrival. Called in exactly on time into the surgery. I was surprised to be informed that this was only a check up and X ray.
When I queried this I was told that a check up was necessary before treatment. I had to pay for the check up at the standard rate for which I have no problem with. I have been given an appointment 7 weeks from now to have the filling that I thought I was having today and I expect that I Will have to pay the next band payment when I have the filling done. I think that this will be unfair because when you incur the intermediate charge this should include the cost of the original inspection and not being charged for the inspection.
If I have miss interpreted this protocol I offer my apologies. I have no criticism of the professionalism of any members of the team who all were civil and friendly.
