I have been a patient at the surgery since 1988 and have always found the staff to be professional, welcoming and knowledgeable. Although it is never very pleasant having your teeth examined or cleaned, the staff do everything they can to make you feel comfortable.

A smile to be proud of
Falling off a wall when I was a child in the ‘60s I broke my two front teeth, spoiling my great looks and losing marks for that first impression when meeting people. It was adulthood before the teeth were built up with composite material but they never looked right and I had to be careful what I ate. Matley Dental Surgery had been my “go-to” place for treatment for more than thirty years and finally, Tosh managed to persuade me to get them sorted. Two appointments and six pain-free veneers later, I’m a new man with a smile to be proud of with thanks to Tosh, Helen and the team for their calm, professional and friendly approach.

Appointment was on time. Tosh did his usual very thorough examination. No problems identified so next appointment arranged for 6 months time. This will be a check up and clean and descale by the hygienist.

Latest dental and hygienist appointment.
First meeting with the new hygienist was a positive experience. Starting with an introduction, she explained what she was doing every step of the way. Ending with areas of hue I could improve my oral health.

i have just returned from an appointment with Tosh who inserted a crown to replace my broken tooth. He was excellent. He was polite, explained the procedure carefully and was very respectful throughout. The work was done gently with no pain felt - even from the injection. he and the dental nurse worked very well as a team. Thank you!!!
