Hygienist appointment
I had an appointment on Friday, 4th July 2025 at 10.40 am with a hygienist called Alex, followed by a check up with Lorna.
I arrived 5 or so minutes before my appointment and was asked by a staff member to take a seat upstairs. I waited until 11.05 and went downstairs to ask the receptionist if I had been forgotten. She apologised and said they were running late as there was an issue with the chair.
When I was eventually called about 10 minutes later, the hygienist introduced herself and I am sure she said her name was Jess. She apologised for the delay and explained she had had to move rooms.
I appreciate that things happen and delays occur. I also think that if the receptionist knew there was a delay, she should have advised me of it when I arrived. Also, if my appointment had been changed from Alex to Jess, I should have been informed of this too.

Had my first consultation over a tricky root canal problem. I’m a nervous, very nervous patient generally. But I was put completely at ease by a hugely experienced practitioner and his assistant. Looking forward - if possible - to the next stage. Thank you.

Professional expertise
Always a warm welcome, everything went really well today. I saw a dental practitioner for a scan of my teeth and gums and then a dental hygienist practitioner for my dental cleaning and prevention advice, and then my dental surgeon practitioner for a check-up and review. All appointments followed smoothly and the examinations of my mouth teeth and gum health was very informative and reassuring. I know I am able to look after my dental health with confidence due to the professional expertise and help from this practice.

David is always very friendly and puts me at ease.
I have been a patient of Mr David Pitt for a number of years and although initially he carried out a tooth implant, he has continued to care for my various dental problems. David is always very friendly and puts me at ease. I would not hesitate to recommend David and Louise and the rest of the team who have looked after me!
