I had an appointment with the hygienist but unfortunately she was unable to come to work. Another hygienist was brought into cover. I was a little concerned as I do have a few ongoing issues but I needn’t have worried as she was excellent.

Filling Repair
Filling Repair. I am a NHS patient and needed to have a filling replace - my waiting time for an appointment was excellent as was the actual procedure of replacing the filling - appointment time 3.10p.m. seen and done within half an hour. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful.

My experience
Whist the dentist was a nice gentleman and did a good job he also gave me options to my treatment of which I had never had before and I was both astonished and disappointed with, this is not the dentists fault but the practice he works for.
This is pure greed asking a pensioner if he wants to spend £200 plus on one kind of filling or £200 plus on another option, not long ago you go to dentist and they gave you a proper filling not a temporary one for 23 quid.
If this filling falls out in the next few months then I will have to look to seeking another dental practice to go to.

I was very happy that I was able to be fitted into the busy appointments at Ryton Dental, the receptionist was very helpful and pleasant and made me feel very reassured that I could be seen at some time either today or as early as possible.
