Urgent appointment
My treatment was urgent and my appointment was made for the following day from my call.
The dentist inspected the problem and had to remove a root. It was a bit more painful than expected but it was a difficult extraction.
Overall very happy.

Appointment
I attended The Station Dental Surgery two days ago for the repair of a tooth & initial process in installing a crown on a tooth, a small one on lower left-side. Dentist & assistant were both very pleasant & professional. My problem was the initial jab to numb the tooth area for subsequent drilling — a procedure I haven’t experienced for over 40 years ( am now 83 yrs)— was extremely painful, bringing tears to my eyes. I felt that the dentist inserted the subsequent shots far too soon. My memory of receiving multiple shots is that I was left for 5-10 mins till gum area was completely numb before further procedures were carried out.
Maybe today’s injections are supposed to activate much faster than 40 yrs ago, but this was not my experience this week.

We are really sorry to hear this. Next time we can use some topical anaesthetic before the local anaesthetic injection. That will help reduce any discomfort. Your Dentist will also inject the solution very slowly and this too will minimise any pain. Hope this helps and you aren’t apprehensive about your next visit.
