Phoned up to make an emergency appointment and was told to come in and wait. Only waited half an hour and the dentist gave me an X-ray, a partial clean and reassured me there was nothing seriously wrong

My experience
I was disappointed that a high-strength fluoride toothpaste was applied to my child’s teeth during our recent visit without my prior knowledge or consent. As a parent, I expect to be fully informed and involved in any decisions regarding my child’s care, especially when it involves active treatments like fluoride.
While I understand that preventive care is important, it’s equally important to have clear communication and consent before any procedure or product is used. I would appreciate greater transparency in the future to ensure trust and confidence in the care provided.
