The dentist and her assistant were very friendly as usual and took care to explain what could be done by her and me to maintain and possibly improve the health of my teeth and gums.
The administration I find more puzzling. I have been attending quite frequently. Sometimes I already have an appointment for a minor treatment and I am asked to book another checkup. Yesterday I thought the appointment was to inspect the gum line fillings recently applied. It was decided that there was time available for a deep clean which appeared necessary. I was told that this would escalate the cost to £74 and I agreed. Only the right side of my mouth was deep cleaned and I was told to make an appointment for 3 months later. At the reception desk there was confusion, they didn't know what had been done and what I should be coming back for. In the end it seemed I was making another appointment for another "check up".
Why do I need 3 monthly check ups if I am having treatments and didn't the £74 charge cover both sides of my mouth?

Came for an emergency appt today. The receptionists were lovely and so were the dentists themselves. Had my extraction and was all done and dusted in no time.
Very understanding as I’m quite afraid of the dentist too so they were so patient with me.
