Very helpful

Can’t see why my dentist sends me to a hygienist when I go for a check up and he is supposed to give a scrape and clean and he never does.

Thank you for your feedback. Due to the anonymous status of your response, I am unable to access your records to gain a clearer picture.
As part of your examination, the Dentist will take routine X-rays (if necessary) and assess your need for a scale and polish resulting in 3 possible outcomes:
1. It may not be deemed necessary
2. If it is deemed necessary, the Dentist may provide this under the NHS band 1 charge of £26.80
3. If your gum health indicates the need for a more extensive clean, the Dentist will refer you to the Hygienist who has the necessary skills and clinical time to provide this service. This generates a NHS band 2 charge of £73.50

In this instance your gum health assessment deemed a scale and polish clinically unnecessary.

My check-up

I started my dental work last year with Park Dental Care, I had quite a few treatments having not attended a dentist for many years. There was fillings to redo (they are now white and incredible) and also having a tooth out..I was lucky enough to be a patient of Tariq Choudry.
I cannot rate the care I receive highly enough, the staff are amazing and so friendly. Tariq is really at the top of his game, every thing he did was explained in detail, the time and care he took was incredible
(I was very frightened at first).
So, I did pay privately and it was worth every penny.
I attended for my check-up this month and after following Tariq’s advice, getting a new electric toothbrush, I don’t need another check up for a year!
Going to Park Dental Care has quite literally changed my life not to mention my smile.
Can’t thank Tariq and his team enough.
