From the moment I started my journey with James and his team, (to improve my smile, all front teeth needed lots of work)I felt relaxed and always encouraged to ask questions, mainly was I happy? Sally and James were courteous and polite, professional at all times as were Tracy and Georgia on reception.
I can honestly say my new beautiful teeth have given me so much confidence and now I smile with my lips open, something I’ve not done for years. I really am so happy and thrilled.
I would also like to add Iv spent quite a few hours in the chair with extractions and the drill going but never once have I felt any pain.
I couldn’t recommend James and his team enough, you won’t regret it.

Hyslop dental practice is an excellent practice.
As a nervous client having a wisdom tooth extraction, the experience could not have been bettered. From reception staff to dental nurse and dentist, they were all extremely professional in the way that they made me feel at ease. The dentist was patient, kind and reassuring, explaining every step of the way what was happening during the procedure, which was completely painless and efficiently done. Went for some Composite Bonding & Whitening at the practice for my first ever appointment. Reception staff were extremely helpful & polite when booking in for my first appointment, very welcoming! The dental staff were very good in explaining what my treatment would involve, the outcome of my treatment was well worth the money & they made sure that I was fully happy with what they had done! Have just completed a long course of treatment at the Hyslop Dental and Implant Clinic. I am delighted with the outcome. I have had implants and an existing crown replaced and some chipped teeth repaired. From start to finish I have had the most professional care. Each visit filled me with confidence. I hadn't really known what exactly to expect at the start and every step of each process was explained in advance. The premises was clean and airy, the receptionists unfailingly polite. James and his team worked quietly and with such professionalism. A few of my appointments were long and their care never wavered. For the first time in many years I have teeth which I can be proud of and am able to eat and chew properly! I would recommend this dental practice in Southport without hesitation.

My final restoration has recently taken place (delay due to current virus situation). I was a very nervous patient but James and all his team were welcoming , friendly and highly professional.

I came to Hyslop Dental on recommendation for an implant. Not only have I now a fantastic front implant but James overhauled my teeth and found I needed some crowns and root canal work. After a failed crown job at a previous dentist and a painful and lengthy extraction, which ultimately required specialist surgery and bone loss from the lower jaw, my confidence in dental care was at an all time low. It was however clear in my mind, not least from the pain and discomfort experienced when eating and frequent drooling past the lips, that further treatment was necessary.

After asking around friends and family, one name was mentioned over and over again. Hyslop Dental. I signed up for a consultation with James Hyslop where we explored the options available to me.

My options were basically a bridge, which would have meant damaging a healthy tooth each side of the gap to retain the bridge, or an implant. The implant would require the damaged bone structure of my jaw to be rebuilt using a bone graft. At all times I felt I was made aware of the options, including all pros and cons, and in charge of the decision.

The bone graft was a scary prospect, but went without hitch and was very successful, the drooling had stopped and I could enjoy eating again, the next phase was the implant itself and once again everything went very well.

Throughout both interventions, I knew what was going to happen and what to expect.

An implant is expensive, but if you look at it in 'cost per meal' terms the more enjoyable meals I have without pain and discomfort, the better the value I will gain from my implant.

I'm delighted at the result. My confidence in dental care has been restored and I would highly recommend Hyslop Dental.

Had an old filling at the very front which was discoloured and needed replacing. Went today to have it replaced and Dr Hyslop did an amazing job. The filling can't be seen and looks the best it has ever looked. An excellent dentist.
