Hyslop Dental and Implant Clinic

With very bad timing, I fell off my bike as a child and landed on my face shortly after my new permanent front teeth had arrived. One of them had sustained damage, so few years on this led to a succession of appointments at Liverpool Dental Hospital culminating in an operation that provided me with a 'post' upon which, for the next 40 odd years, a succession of crowns would be attached. Turning 50, I was advised the post had come to the end of its usefulness and was parting company with my jaw. Wishing to avoid a bridge and the attendant damage to other teeth, I was grateful to see that, fortuitously, a new practice had opened locally and it was a dental and implant clinic.

Dr Hyslop, my new dentist, was immediately very clear about my options, and able to fulfil my wish for an implant. His brand new surgery is fully furnished with state of the art equipment- even a scanner, which removes the need to travel elsewhere and means all treatment from the start can be performed on the premises.

It was only towards the end of my treatment that I realised how fortunate I'd been to go to Dr Hyslop, because it transpired that the 60's technology had left various issues such as voids and rendered it very difficult to provide me with a straightforward implant procedure. Undeterred, he formulated a course of action that took some time, but eventually his patience and skills resulted in a new front tooth that surpassed my expectations by some distance. I'd have been grateful for something that appeared reasonable compared to its predecessor and was a little more robust, but the result was a tooth that is a perfect match for its counterpart, and is amazingly strong.

I can only guess how effective and rapid his procedures for implants without the challenges mine offered would be, but I know I am very impressed- to the point where I plan to have another, in a less prominent gap to which I'd previously reconciled myself.

I can recommend Dr Hyslop's clinic without reservation, particularly to those who need the confidence an implant can bring but are hesitant, as I initially was. You will not look back- and possibly smile more!

There are familiar processes when moving to a new area, it is never easy pitching into the unknown when considering health care. My first explorations seeking dental services lead to two practices the first lasted a couple of months, the following practice 3 years. Clearly I had not been assured by the first but the second choice had actually not offered much improvement.

After a year’s deliberating I did search again and was more than tad surprised to find a dental practice on my doorstep. My initial telephone enquiry was notably uplifting, the receptionist offered a positive even cheery manner whilst confirming NHS services. I even mentioned HC2 and for once I didn’t feel ashamed. (I know, I am sensitive).

Today I had my first visit; a respectful and cheery tone was evident; I had a thorough initial check-up, including a panoramic x-ray, a detailed explanation whilst viewing the imagery and a concise appraisal for a treatment campaign. The full experience was so far removed from the services of the past three years. If you are searching as I had been. I strongly recommend you call Hyslop Dental & Implant Clinic first.

I have been to many dental practices over the years and this one is by far the best. I recieved excellent professional service while fitting my inplant, not only from the dental staff but also the reception and dental nurses.

I received a thorough routine dental examination from Dr Hyslop, who also explained the advantages of using an electric toothbrush for your daily dental care.
