During our thorough oral screenings, we meticulously examine all lumps, bumps, swellings, and moles in the extraoral regions of the neck and jaw. Additionally, we perform a detailed intraoral assessment of the gums, cheeks, and tongue to identify any abnormalities, swellings, or lumps within the mouth.

We utilise an intraoral camera to capture clinical photographs inside the mouth which have no risks associated with radiation. This process involves moving the lips to obtain clear images of the teeth and oral areas. Our meticulous approach ensures detailed records of the oral region, allowing us to monitor changes such as recession, crowding, and tooth wear over time. This helps us maintain accurate and up-to-date records of your oral health. Taking photographs during check-up appointments enables us to document the condition of your teeth and gums and track any changes. It also allows us to discuss our findings with you using these images, enhancing your understanding of your oral health. We apologise if this part of the examination caused you any discomfort.

X-rays are taken based on each patient's individual needs and risk assessment. For patients at lower risk, and if recent X-rays are available, frequent imaging may not be necessary unless clinically indicated. Conversely, higher-risk patients may require more frequent imaging.
