Thank you for your comments. However the policies of the company, dictate the workings of the practice.
I have spoken to my head receptionist and she can confirm that a conversation was had about cancelling the appointment, unfortunately it is the company's policy that short notice cancellations are charged for.
At the time of your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances the Clinician was running late, due to the pt in the chair requiring more complex treatment than anticipated, which i'm afraid does happen occasionally and we have a duty of care to ensure that all is well before we can let a pt leave the practice . The head receptionist advised you that the Clinician was running late, and you were happy to wait. However after a few moments, you asked to reschedule for another time.
The charges are set by the company and these are explained to you upon any enquiry, which you accepted and therefore booked the appointment.
We have placed you upon the cancellation list to contact you if we have any availability before your rearranged appointment, but if you wish to seek an alternate arrangement, we can arrange to refund your deposit.

Thank you for the feedback, unfortunately all our Clinicians are extremely busy due to the high number of patients we have at the practice. This compounded with us being unable to secure another Clinician for the practice to ease the pressure. We do empathise with your frustration. But hopefully the reception team offered to place you on the cancellation list for us to call you if an appointment becomes available sooner
