Good experience, all staff including great receptionist, very welcoming, reassuring and improved my appointment. I was nervous as I had not visited a dentist for quiet sometime, previously pre COVID.

My experience
The dentist and team were all very professional and helpful. My only issue is that on the notices displayed in the practice it says that a scale and polish are included in Band 1 yet my dentist advised that I book in with the hygienist to have this done separately…. I feel this is unfair and should be offered in the service.

Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to clarify that a scale on the NHS is provided if it is clinically necessary. If a patient has periodontitis or gum disease, Band 2 periodontal treatment may be recommended, or we may advise seeing the hygienist for more thorough gum care. This differs from a Band 1 scale and polish, which is only for general maintenance rather than treating active gum disease.
