Dear Patient,
As the dentist I am sorry to hear you felt that I wasn’t as chatty and bubbly like my receptionist.
You will also appreciate that we all have different personalities within the team and we all have a different role to fulfil. As a dentist obviously I am there to make your visit as comfortable and pain free as possible during the treatment phase, to ensure that procedure to be carried out efficient and correctly . So there may have a necessary element of seriousness from the treating clinician. That said I am somewhat surprised by your observation albeit from your point of view. You don’t state whether this is first visit or an existing patient however it is never my intention to come across as un-friendly.
However I am very pleased about your comments regarding my receptionist. One of her roles is to make your visit as pleasant as possible. She would be the best person to have as my front of house.
