Dear Patient, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at Tewkesbury Dental. We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the service you received. You mentioned a few things. You were seen a little later than your planned appointment time, the time taken to carry out the treatment and the charge levied for it.
First of all I would like to apologise for the lateness in bringing you into the surgery. Often the reason for this is that despite our best efforts some health treatments take a little longer for a number reasons and never deliberately. Hence the slight delay. On the other hand some other treatments go extremely smoothly. The time allocated is often based on the type of treatment deemed necessary from previously determined clinical health needs.
Tewkesbury Dental Essentials enables the patient to spread the cost of necessary check ups (examination) and routine hygiene (normally 20 min classic clean) in addition to 10% off when other treatments may be required which does not include hygiene. You were booked in for a 30 minute slot based on your previous history and clinical need. We are extremely pleased that we were able to complete the treatment within established guidelines with only a few minutes to spare. The difference between a classic clean (which is covered in the fee that you pay by direct debit) and the intensive clean (that you received today) is the time allowed to satisfactorily and efficiently complete the procedure. Hence the extra charge of £25 not covered by your entitled 6 monthly clean. We note from your records that you have happily paid the extra fee on previous occasions when it was necessarily carried out.
Perhaps you were perturbed that you did not receive value for money during the treatment. I know for a fact the hygienist that treated you is exemplary in her treatments and is extremely popular and receives excellent reviews.
