Today I had my regular check up with Clare, who was her usual, friendly, efficient self. This was followed by an appointment with the hygienist, Laura. This was my first session with her. She began it by introducing herself, and what she does. She then took time to talk me through the issues Clare had highlighted, what had caused them, how they can be fixed and why they should be fixed. This is the first time an hygienist has done this and I found it very informative and helpful. I’m actually looking forward to my next session with her. Again, this is a first.

I was a bit shocked at my bill, though I had seen both dentist and hygienist and don't normally see them on the same day, which probably explains it.
