I would like to clarify that the £45 rate for routine adult check-ups applies only when the next appointment is booked in advance at the time of your last visit. This is part of our initiative to encourage patients to stay on track with their oral health and reduce missed appointments.

If a patient chooses not to book in advance and schedules their routine check-up at a later stage, the standard private fee of £60 applies.

Unfortunately, on the day of your recent visit, our regular receptionist was on holiday and the team member covering was a temporary staff member who wasn’t fully briefed on the pricing structure and therefore didn’t explain this clearly at the time of booking. We sincerely apologise for any confusion this may have caused.

After reviewing your record, I can confirm that the charge of £60 was correct in your case, as the appointment was not booked in advance at your previous check-up and therefore the discounted rate was not applicable.

However, I do understand how this may have been unclear, and I appreciate you highlighting it. As a result, we have now updated our price list presentation by adding a star (*) to highlight the details more clearly, and we’ve also instructed all reception staff to explain the pricing policy at the time of booking.
