I found my experience at Calm and Gentle so good compared to other dentists in the past. Arriving early I was able to chat to the receptionist Gemma who is so natural that you forget you are at the dentists. Sharlin is my chosen dentist and always has been kind, polite and considerate to his patients. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Isn't your computer system able to flag up when a patient is a member of DPAS? When paying for my toothpaste I mentioned to Gemma that I used to get a discount. She checked and reduced the price from £22.50 to £20.25 saying that unless I told her, she wouldn't know!!! Having checked my bank accounts, for the previous FIVE visits I have been charged £22,50, so not very happy about that!

I can only apologies for the confusion and confirm that our computer system does allow us to identify the various patient categories, such as, DPAS and patients that choose to pay as they go.
Discounts on sundry items was stopped approximately 5 or 6 years ago. We cannot compete with the larger super markets on price and only sell the products for the same cost we buy them at and make no money at all.
I am really sorry for any confusion. Glad we were able to discuss your concern. Thanks again for your time...see you again.

Professional, caring and friendly
I am really pleased with the care that I received at Calm and Gentle. I was very nervous after the nightmare that I experienced with my previous dentist, but felt reassured from the outset. My proposed treatment plan was explained to me before any work commenced and I am very happy with the treatment I have received so far. The receptionist is friendly and welcoming and put me at ease upon arrival. I feel confident to continue to be treated by this surgery and will definitely recommend to others.
