Excellent dental practice. I think I've seen all of the practitioners over the last 9 months or so and they have all been excellent. On my first visit I was told that I would need root canal treatment - luckily there had been a cancellation so the endodontist was able to see me the next day. After starting the procedure she realized that the nerve was still intact and so was able to do a "pulp capping" instead of the root canal treatment, which left the original tooth intact and was also a lot cheaper! I also had an old filling replaced, a wisdom tooth extracted, and a hygienist visit, all of which were impeccable. Everyone was friendly and professional, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Birkbeck.

Been a client here for the last four years. I have had implants at this practice as well as a range of other treatments and hygienist work and the service and quality of the work is simply outstanding. Professional, polite and well mannered staff too. In my opinion it’s probably the best dentist practice in Kent. It is a private practice and therefore payment options may not be available but, you get what you pay for. It’s a simple as that. Very happy

I was recently referred here to see specialist Dr Claudia Ramirez-B after my dentist was concerned I might have needed root canal treatment. Claudia was absolutely wonderful. Utilising her resources and modern technology, she investigated my teeth carefully and thoroughly from all angles and did the necessary tests to ensure there were no cracks or possibilities of pathological developments. She explained her diagnosis to me in Lehman's terms. Additionally, she was very gentle and made me feel extremely comfortable under her care. Thank you very much!

I was recently referred here by my NHS dentist as I needed a complex root canal treatment (which I then paid for privately). Like many people, the thought of a root canal filled me with absolute dread. Everyone has a root canal horror story it seems! I’m pleased to say that the whole experience was faultless and far better than anticipated. I've been so impressed with the service I've received from start to finish. Everyone I encountered from the front of house staff to the endodontist were brilliant. They put me at ease from the get go, talked me through the procedure and answered my questions with endless patience. I found the whole thing so much better than expected and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone else who may have the similar anxieties that I did.

Terrified of needing an extraction I went along to Birkbeck as they provide conscious sedation. This too made me anxious, as I did not want to be conscious at all. From my first visit I was reassured by the calm atmosphere and lovely staff. Peter decided the tooth didn't need to come out and recommended root canal. This was performed with the aid of the sedation and was undoubtedly the best dental experience I've ever had. I knew nothing until I awoke around an hour and a half later, treatment completed. My new crown was made and fitted two weeks later . This treatment is expensive but worth every penny. I'm very attached to my teeth (!)and hope to keep them forever. With Birkbecks help that looks to be a real possibility. One very happy and satisfied customer

I had kept away from dentists for far too many years, and chose Birkbeck Dentistry somewhat randomly when I was suffering from a really painful root canal infection that was clearly not going to"go away" if I ignored it as I usually did such things. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The infection was dealt with, and I then embarked on a course of treatment during which I was treated gently, given full explanations of everything that needed to be done, and had excellent reconstructive work which over a period of several months undid the damage caused by years of foolish neglect on my part. I would recommend the practice and and its highly professional staff to anybody, especially those with fears or phobias involving dentists!
Updated at 22/05/2025: I have been a patient at Birkbeck Dentistry for well over 10 years now, and I am still completely happy with the service provided.
