Dentist was 30 minutes late. Would be really helpful to be honest about how long we'd likely have to wait for, especially with two young children.

Good morning, thank you for your time in giving us feedback.
I apologise that you had to wait 30 minutes before seeing the dentist. Unfortunately, this does happen when a patient is having an emergency appointment and requires treatment straight away. Our dentists do inform us when they are running late so we can advise patients as they may want to re-book.

Asked for NHS appointment. One was available an hour later that day. Treatment was required. Appointment for that is to be two days later. Very professional outfit.

Made me feel really at ease

My experience
My appointment was half an hour late and I ended up having to ask the receptionist if the dentist was running late as I was just sitting waiting in an almost empty waiting room. When I did get to see the dentist he was very thorough, helpful and explained I needed to come back for a filling treatment and even showed me via Google images what had happened to a couple of my teeth. Good NHS dentist but 30 minutes extra waiting was not great when I had children to collect from school.

Unfortunately this does happen within dentistry, it could be that they were seeing an emergency patient, This could take longer that the appointment length that was allocated in order to get the patient out of pain.
