Thanks David. Thanks for your review. At Woodborough, we try and make the experience different to what you would conventionally expect at a dentist. In part that is because we realise that visiting the dentist can be challenging. It has been harder with Covid - to have that relaxed feel, but hopefully soon it will get back to being what it was like.

When I first went to Woodborough House, it was as a patient with a 40+ year dentist phobia, dating back to a traumatic accident when I was 7. Previously, even having a checkup was a big deal, let alone a filling.
From the first visit, Sarah, Nick and the team were extremely understanding and supportive, to the point that I have totally overcome my phobia and have recently completed an implant procedure.
Their attention to detail and care for patients' comfort and wellbeing is second to none. I am delighted with the implant, and will be planning a second one shortly. Given where I started, that is the highest commendation I can give :}

It may seem strange, that as a dentist, I would have dental phobia. But, like yourself, I had some negative experiences as a child that created this mindset.
The crazy thing is that it does not matter if I try and rationalise this phobia. I still see dentistry through the eyes of a child.
However, the advantage of this is that I am a dentist who understands dental phobia, but is firmly committed to being a defender of my patients dental welfare.
By taking time and by using various techniques and technology - I believe dentistry can be provided reasonably comfortably for anybody, no matter what your dental concerns may be.
This goes to the heart and ethos of WoodboroughHouse and what our team are about. We genuinely want to go the extra smile.

Update from my review 2 years ago as Phase 2 of my teeth 'makeover' has been completed and I am so happy with the result.
Louis has done an amazing job with his intricate braces work and I now have straight teeth for the first time in my life!! Now very much looking forward to the next phase with Hamish and Nick! So I will update again in a few months!

I have just returned from another pleasant visit to Woodborough House for a hygiene appt. My journey to recovering from poor oral health has been over 6 years. Today My oral health is of an excellent standard & is as a direct result of the excellent support & care I’ve received from Sarah, Nick, L’Ren, Kathy & Leah.
My care at WH has require extensive & quite complex implant surgery with Nick, some cosmetic dentistry with Sarah & regular hygiene reviews & appts with L’Ren.
I feel so much better since becoming a patient at WH, not just physically but emotionally too. I know that I’ll need more treatment in the future but feel somewhat less worried about it knowing that when that time comes, I’ll be in the very capable hands of the team at WH.

I’m not a patient at Woodborough but called for an emergency appointment as I was in pain. The receptionist was understanding and helpful, booking me an appointment the same day with Rupert. I get quite anxious about dental treatment but he was amazing. He listened to my concerns, explained everything that he was doing and totally put me at ease. I had a partial route canal and can honestly say it was the best dental experience I have had. I don’t feel at all worried about going back to finish the treatment - thank you so much! I would highly recommend Rupert and the practice.
