Whilst tax implications on late Estate interest creating a tax liability post clearance, by way of example is it would appear outside the in house service scope, it might be beneficial to consider whether having some specialist on hand, might be advantageous to the overall service offered.

Peace of mind
Equilibrium always answers my phone call promptly and directs me to the correct person/people. I am received, usually by Emma, and I feel that I am a person that matters. The adviser and para planers have always explained things to me in an easy to understand manner and are happy to explain things further if I need it. Equilibrium is a long standing and successful company who treat their staff very well and therefore have consistency in their staff, they are a forward looking company. They keep up to date with the markets and are quickly able to change investments if they think that this is necessary. Equilibrium give me confidence that my money is being handled well and I therefore I can rest easy that I am in good hands.

Difficult to use their system
I don't access or use their system as I work full time and don't have time to work out the system. It isn't easy or straightforward like a Barclays business account for example. I don't think I would trust them with a huge sum of money as their fees monthly are way too high.

I’m very sorry that you find our client portal difficult to navigate – we would of course be happy to take you through the system via an online call, outside of work hours, if that would help. Your financial planner and client manager are also happy to carry out review calls to fit around your schedule (again, outside of usual working hours) to allow you to take advantage of the service we provide. Alternatively, we are able to offer a lighter touch option with a different fee structure that may be more suitable for your current needs.

there is no ease of access to my pension info and nothing is easy online with Equilibrium in the sense that there isn't an easy online form or annual statement to look at say an online with them for the pension monies I left with them @ 3 years ago.. I wouldn't offer up a lot more of a lump sum for them to manage on this basis as their costs and fees far outweigh the service.. In short I would rather place £10 million in 6 month bonds for a million per bank account and get @ 3.25% per month back on each million than let equilibrium loose with the money .. as the fees to manage £10 million would be very large indeed! in a nutshell I will manage the money myself.. a lot of customers probably just park stuff with them they don't expect a return from and to my mind they could be a lot lot sharper in growing their business.. but the fees for managing large sums is too much in my opinion as I said earlier.
