Considered equity release to release monies to buy a flat in London for a son. Always thought that equity release was bad news but seems that modern schemes are to be trusted so liaising with mortgage advisor recommended by Equilibrium.

Excellent service
Excellent service when I needed to take out funds urgently after making an unexpected purchase of a new car.
Further fund withdrawal was then necessary to cover holiday deposits that were not anticipated at the annual review. These were expedited promptly and since then funds have recovered so that it looks like very little money was actually withdrawn, thus showing good cautious fund management.

Feb 2022 - 6 month review
Kevin has been really helpful and has continued to help us consolidate our portfolio, now taking in our respective work pension balances. As we have stopped working for now and retire, the funding plan we have agreed is being executed i.e. crystallising my pension and establishing a carefully planned, tapered drawdown. This has been a frictionless process due to the team's diligence and the careful work we put into building the plan using Voyant and estimating our funding run rate.
Also, I enjoy Mike's regular short (which is good!) video updates. These insights help us understand a little more about the current trends and, in some cases, calm our nerves!
