Had confidence in financial planning & gifting knowing that I’m financially secure. Spent more to enhance my life. Booked several holidays without having to think about the cost. Spent more on health benefits, such as regular physio/ massages. Tori (daughter) gave me her former hot tub & not worried about running costs. Garden parties over the summer & provided all the booze etc.

An issue from the annual review is ongoing but Paul and his team are on top of it and pushing it through. The due diligence and financial checks have been requested by a third party and it is just taking some time to work through.

Need advice and have struggled to find a time to gain it. Advisors seem extremely busy so unable to give a rapid response. Have had to be patient!

October Update
We were told that our new client manager would introduce herself. In fact we are still in contact with Asad including a picture of him with his girlfriend in America and a conversation about Ronaldo when we were in Madeira. Asad left but has taken the time to keep in touch. So my comment about the service received is that the personal side is not the same. The role of client manager is key. I think ours must be called Rose because somebody called Rose uploads the occasional documents.

Communication
After several years of excellent service from Equilibrium this year there were a couple of issues over implementation and communication over a change in my Portfolio that I found very frustrating. Having raised the issues the senior team were extremely pro-active in getting to the cause of my frustration and quickly rectified the situation. However they then took it further and looked at why the situation had arisen and amended their training practices. I can only commend the way the team handled my complaint, provided a prompt solution and regained my confidence in Equilibrium.

Equilibrium Financial Planning LLP
I was pleased when Ben Rogers suggested at my annual review that I moved part of my portfolio to the Balanced fund. This in the hope it will improve the income on my portfolio but still retaining some caution.

All things considered
It has been and remains very useful being able to speak to David as and when required, knowing he will provide a considered, professional and proactive response even when he needs to take the question away and check with others. He is a great sounding board and I feel more confident making investment decisions with him in my corner. The family is on a transition program following the sad departure of my parents over recent years so investment / life planning is a key requirement.
