Brilliant GP surgery. The online form and booking system is great, I’m always contacted about appointments. The admin staff are absolutely lovely, never rude. The female GPs I have had (only ever had women) are all great, very lovely communicators, kind and knowledgable, I feel empowered and that I’m offered investigations according to national standard/guidelines and they take my concerns seriously. Amazing!! Nothing to improve. Dr Chadwick is especially kind and thorough

Excellent service provided by caring health professionals. Recently seen by Dr Jebakumar. She was thorough, efficient and professional. She gave excellent advice and a quick referral. Also thanks to the admin team for their follow up and helpful attitude. Thank you very much!

I have had consistently excellent health care from this practice, the female doctors who I see are fantastic, I feel like they really care and are very knowledgable, and the receptionists go out of their way to help. Their system of booking really works efficiently, a combination of online consultation, doctor call backs and in-person appointments. They send me text messages with hospital referral information, or today a receptionist called me to make a hospital appointment for me, or a doctor might send me a text message with a link to more info about my particular health condition. It feels personal, I feel cared about and I am very lucky that they are my doctors.

Well organised Surgery.

Dr Alleyne is an exceptional, empathetic and very thorough doctor. I rate the whole practice and would recommend it for new patients. Two years on Dr Alleyne remains a very thorough doctor.

The reception staff here are so friendly and helpful which I haven’t experienced at a GP before. The doctors are also really knowledgeable. The practice is really responsive - it’s easy to get an appointment by doing it online and I never have to wait long.

This surgery has gone above and beyond in their care for my elderly father. They have shown patience, respect and compassion towards my dad. They have also extended that level of care to myself and sister who are dads carers. I cannot praise the GPs enough. The reception staff are also so friendly and helpful. This is how a GP practice should be

Excellent services

I am writing this review from the position of having a wide experience of many GP practices during my time involved in healthcare commissioning. My elderly mother is a patient here and I take an active role in trying to maximise how she benefits from the NHS.
I am regularly pleasantly surprised and impressed how the staff members at this practice have treated my mother. Their communication with me has also been first class, which helps us all maximise the quality of life my mother enjoys in her latter years. On many occasions they have gone beyond my high expectations, especially in respect of the time they are happy to spend to ensure best possible outcomes.
This high performance extends across medical and non-medical staff that I have encountered. To think this is happening during the current highly stressed NHS environment makes it even more impressive.
For this great attitude and excellence to be apparent so widely suggests a very strong and effective leadership too. Perhaps you should consider sharing best practice? I want to thank you all, sincerely, for helping my mother and me during recent years in particular.

I cannot say enough good things about Brixton Hill GP. The doctors there are excellent, they listen to you and take you seriously. They are professional, considerate and always take the time to follow up (which is particularly impressive given the impossible working conditions that they are currently facing under the NHS). I have two small children and between the three of us we have been in and out many, many times over the years with ailments ranging from minor to serious, and I have always been treated with compassion, respect and care by all staff. They have recently updated their system to avoid the '8am rush' and it seems to be working well. A huge 'thank you!' from my family, it makes such a difference to know we have such a fantastic medical practice at hand.

The best GP surgery in the area with an on the day appointment system allowing for fast access to care and responsive staff. Yes you have to wait in a long long telephone queue at 8am for a same day service, that’s the lesser of two evils because you almost always get to speak to someone same day if you do this piece of work, which is great compared to 5-6 weeks waits in most local surgeries. Good response form econsults too. I find Dr Alleyne simply fantastic. She’s caring compassionate and intelligent and really listens and understands and goes way above and beyond to find solutions that really work. Individualised care at its best, great communication and knowledge, attention to detail, makes a real difference. Thanks for all the great support you’ve given us as a family over the last few years.

I've moved around London a lot and genuinely this is the best practice I've had. They're clinics are efficient, staff are helpful, they try to cater to their community and put on clinics and services that make sense.

I feel very well looked after by BHGP. Every exchange I have had with the staff; reception, practice nurses and doctors has been respectful and compassionate. I have had a lot of health issues over the last 18 months, some of which are ongoing. As a result I am a frequent visitor to the surgery. I have always been treated with care and understanding.

Really excellent GP surgery. At a time when GPs seem so stretched all over the country I feel very lucky to have such a great GP practice. They are responsive, caring and thorough. They've taken excellent care of me and husband over the last 5 years.
