Brixton Hill Group Practice

This was our first GP when we arrived here in the UK. The guy in the reception was super nice and very accomodating as we are registering as a new NHS patient.

I have a good experience in this practice, the doctor who attended to me before was nice.

It is not a big GP but it is clean

When it comes to calling them, I'd say it takes 30 minutes to an hour.

Often quite difficult to make an appointment but the staff are great.

Whenever I have called about my baby the doctor has been able to see us that morning. For my own issues I have been called promptly and given good advice / treatment. I hear horror stories of other people's GPs and this one is head and shoulders above those.

Doctor Alleyne has been great; she really listened to what I was going through, took me seriously, and made the referrals I needed. Thank you.

I have had a wonderful care for my hernia repair by nurse Kyla. I think she is a great asset to the Practice.

This game is so realistic. The game never claims that Amy is dead and so I’m wondering if she is badly injured in the hospital. Why would the creators put messages from this hospital in the game if it wasn’t relevant?

I was given my second Astra Zeneca had today by Dr Wedgwood at the Brixton Hill GP practice. From start to finish, the process over the last eight weeks could not have been more efficient or more user-friendly.
Booking for both jabs was via a simple app that let you choose day and date, confirmed this back to you, and let you change the booking subsequently. Perfect.
At the Brixton Hill practice, the process of the jab itself was seamless: helpful welcome, socially-distanced environment, no wait, and super-informative brief from the doctor, before a (painless). Congratulations Brixton Hill GP! 100% score.

Thank you for the excellent care you provide. From the reception staff, to the nurses and GP consultants, I have been consistently provided with genuine person-centred care from this practice. As someone who has worked in mental health services for several years, I am very aware of the ever widening gap between aiming to provide holistic, person-centred care and the everyday delivery of the service, bogged down with the increasing pressures of a health crisis and budget cuts. I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to receive primary care from this practice, whose staff have always made time to listen to my experience and give their consultation in dialogue with me and my body, as opposed to taking an overly prescriptive approach, that is often assumed with scientific expertise. Just to give one example, I was once bitten by a spider and the bite got infected, even though the GP who saw me at the time prescribed and advised me to take antibiotics, they also listened when I expressed wanting to wait to allow my body to heal itself, without having to take the anitbiotics. We made an alternative plan to delay taking the medication and I was given practical advice on how to care for the wound, which enabled me to avoid taking the meds unnecessarily. It is fascinating to me to see how this practice has managed to implement preventative care philosophies in a primary care and public service. I think your practice is exemplary and could easily serve as a model for other services in enacting care the way you do as clinicians. Thanks again, it has been a gift being your patient.
