Called surgery at 8 am. Appointment booked for 9.45 with nurse practitioner.
I couldn’t fault her, told her my issue, antibiotics prescribed and on the mend. This surgery is the best about. All members of staff have so much time for their patients.
Dr Goldberg is the best doctor in Thanet by far.

Surgery requested Non-urgent appointment
Staff at the Surgery requested that I make a non-urgent appointment to discuss test results with the Doctor either face to face or Tele Consult. Unfortunately, the system employed to do this seems to be designed and operated to make this simple Admin task as difficult as possible for the Patients. ie. I was instructed by SMS to ring at 08:00 on a Mon, Wed or Fri and when I got through I was told I was too late to book the appointment because it was actually going to be on that day and not some time in the future. I then had to ring on the next available day at 08:00 and managed to get through and booked a Tele Consultation only to find that this would be an all day appointment without any indication as to when the Doctor would call. If I had been informed of this, I would have made a face to face appointment as this would have been more convenient for me. In summary, I believe the system for booking non-urgent appointments should be more Patient friendly, communicated to the patients in advance and any future changes to the system should also be advised.

Call from pharmacist
Helen was able to listen to my request and has changed my medication back to how it was. I do think that if a consultant has requested a certain type of medication, a pharmacist shouldn’t change it. Chemist pharmacists don’t make changes so why should pharmacists based with GPs change things - by all means discuss with the patient, but don’t just do it.
