Church Lane Doctors Surgey New Romney
The reception staff were helpful and efficient.
Both telephone and face to face consultations with Dr Wedgewood were thorough and reassuring. The subsequent referral for further investigation was swift and again reassuring.
It would be nice if it was possible to have continuity that is the same GP at all times if possible without having to specifically requesting such.
Overall a positive experience of the NHS at a time when the NHS comes in for lots of criticism.
My only criticism is the need to tick confirm reading the Review Policy to be able to send my review. Display the review policy first. I didn’t read the policy but ticked the box anyway just to send the review.

When I initially contacted the surgery the lady in reception was extremely helpful and arranged for the doctor to call me later that day, after speaking to the doctor he asked me to come to the surgery that day he was kind and very thorough in his examination put through a prescription and arranged for me to have an X-ray called the surgery back in a week they arranged for the doctor to call me he gave me more antibiotics and discussed the X-ray with me and said he would arrange for a blood test and CT Scan, this was done and I had an appointment to see the doctor, we discussed the scan and how I was feeling. He prescribed a much stronger antibiotic and said he would phone me in 5 days, I received the call in 5 days we discussed my progress and he issued a prescription for 2 more days antibiotics and has done the paperwork for me to have another X-ray in 4 to 5 weeks time. I am very grateful for the kindness and help I received.

Very good experience
I had an appointment with ANP Ms Daly and it was the best appointment I've had in a very long time. She was totally commited to listening to me and explaining things to me so that I understood. Unfortunately Ms Daly said she was retiring in the New Year and asich as I understand people want to relax and enjoy life, I think when she retires, it will be a massive blow to the centre. I wish all the other "visiting" GP's would be more like Ms Daly and make you feel like you are a human who is worried about things and not just getting you in and out as quick as possible to tick boxes and get paid at the end of the day!! It would be nice to have permanent GP's who get to know you. Thank you for seeing me Ms Daly.

Chest infection
I spoke to the doctor and was given an appointment to see him. I was seen on time and after being examined he prescribed antibiotics which I was able to collect from the chemist immediately. Excellent service.

Horrendous
My son who was diagnosed was asthma by a doctor at the Harvey after an asthma attack was dismissed by a GP here and told to use medications that were not safe for asthmatics.
Contacted regarding my son for an appt numerous times, no appointments, called 111 got a phone call back from a GP dismissed his symptoms, then called back saying maybe just pop up the hospital, burst appendix.
No trust in the surgery for my children at all.
