Other than a 25 minute delay in seeing the doctor, which he apologised for, I had a very good consultation. I felt heard and my concerns were listened to. The GP was very courteous and I didn’t feel rushed. A good experience, thank you.

Blood Test and Results
I saw one of the Practice Nurses to take my blood. This was done on time and without a problem.
My results were given by a telephone call from a Doctor, about a week later.
The call arrived about an hour earlier than advised. Fortunately, I was able to take the call.
Although my results were within what I understand to be normal limits, including cholesterol level, I was told that I needed to take Statins. I told the doctor that I was reluctant to do this due to the poor reputation these drugs have, including side effects. The Doctor said that he was going to prescribe them.
The call was over within 5 minutes and I was given no chance of understanding why, except being told I was at a higher risk of heart attack or other related condition.
The drugs were quickly delivered via my preferred supplier Pharmacy2U.
I have decided not to take the statins due to lack of information surrounding the need to take them and my within limits cholesterol level.

Flu and covid jabs
I attended the surgery with my wife for our jabs and it was a seamless process. On time, pleasant staff and we hardly felt the jabs. Excellent system.

Today
I was in bed asleep with covid, missed an appointment for cancer test results, told because I had missed two calls - but only one recorded on my phone - I must wait until November for another call and I could not get results, that makes nonsense of government 2 week policy for cancer and I am distressed by the rude, uncaring, ignorant attitude of receptionist.
