Repeat prescription renewal
Firstly there was no 'visit' and hasn't been for years (except flu jab). I was told by the pharmacy that my July prescription was the last and I'd need to phone for a GP appointment for renewal. When I got through, I was told I needed a blood test, and arranged it for 15th September. However since then, I have been sent another repeat prescription which takes me until December! I'm a bit confused.

Friendly and helpful.
All the staff are friendly at Church Lane and do their best to help you. I know things are difficult nationwide in the NHS but I cannot fault Church Lane and always champion them. The receptionists are always kind and take time to ask if you’re ok. I am very grateful to have the doctor’s surgery.

Phone call
Call was well late, given 3-5pm, was more 6.30pm, wasn't told anything different to what Buckland hospital had already said, so really sorry to say was a waste of a call.

Regular blood pressure check
Appointment was on time. The nurse was patient and did not just take the first reading but took time for it to normalise.

Appt due to error
Mamaged to get appointment, reception staff helpful. Drs need to be more holistic and when making notes, do it accurately. They also expect you to tell them what your diagnosis is and the treatment you want.

Visiting GP face to face
I actually spoke to a GP face to face who had the time to go through an X-ray in detail and explain it in layman's terms. I had tried to decipher it myself at home as hadn't wanted to waste their time in the surgery but the GP was understanding and went into great detail with me.

Follow Up Dr Phone Call
The call came in, I was asked if I had seen the results, I said I had. I then asked the Dr to confirm the diagnosis, so I could ensure I had interpreted it correctly. He told me he was not a dermatologist!! This I knew, I asked him again to confirm the results, it then turns out he hadn't actually read them! So took time whilst on the phone to read them. I then mentioned the cream that was mentioned in the notes! He asked if I wanted it!! As it is recommended I said yes, he then had to re look at notes and eventually put them through.
I would expect with a follow up call that that particular patient's notes would be read prior to the call, a summary made at the out set of the call, then ask if any questions!!

Very friendly and Helpful
Very friendly and helpful receptionists, ready to listen and do their best. A lovely atmosphere when you go in. Nurses very efficient and friendly. Have yet to see a doctor but phone appointments always on time. Keep up the good work.
