Physio appt and blood test
Both appts were on same day but unfortunately the blood test was cancelled due to staff sickness and Physio appt was moved to Lydd surgery, as the internet was down at Church Lane. An appt was made for me for next day for bloods.
When I arrived at Lydd surgery for physio only to be told I was booked in for the nurse, I was unaware of this.
The nurse dealt with the reason I was attending and the appt was successful.
I gave a good as my overall experience as despite the inconvenience to myself with both appts, all staff I spoke to and were seen by were effecient and explained to myself the mix up.
In both appointments I felt comfortable, listened to and well cared for.

Phone appt with NP 25/04/24
Spoke to a nurse practitioner (didn't give a name) about my routine blood tests all were okay and about Gout treatment for which he said he would get the clinical pharmacist to call me about this on 25/4/24 so far as of 03/05/24 have heard nothing.

Too little time on a phonecall with doctor
I understand the need for telephone appointments but sometimes it is better to see a doctor as it gives the doctor a better understanding of the individual they are dealing with. In my circumstances I could have done with a face to face appointment. As it was I felt the doctor was just going through a tick box exercise. Useful in some circumstances but not every time.

Thank you for your feedback. We have face to face appointments available on the day and in advance, as well as telephone appointments. To be able to increase demand at the practice, not all consultations require a face to face appointment. This may be determined by the clinician that you speak with on the day and then if they feel they need to examine you they will of course arrange the face to face appointment with you.

Help with medicine
I have been on strong painkillers for a long time and wished to come off them which had to be done in a controlled way. I have had very good support and a regular phone call to see how I was getting on, which was a great help.
